Washington State University (WSU) established the Center for Environmental, Sediment and Aquatic Research (CESAR Mission) during the 1996 - 1997 academic year.  Our research is designed to gain a better understanding of the factors that affect the fate and transport of contaminants in the environment. An immerging area of research for the Center is focused on contaminated sediments and their effect on ecosystem health.
